Sherbroke Village is located along the shores of the beautiful St. Mary’s River. This quaint village depicts a typical Nova Scotian village from 1860 to pre-WW1. It took us close to four hours to explore this village with over 80 structures, 25 of which are open for viewing and demonstrations. It is the largest Nova Scotia Museum site. It even includes a old school working saw mill. We had the opportunity to chat with the blacksmith, woodturner potter, ambrotype photographer and more. Every building is staffed with someone in period costume who explains the workings or unique features of that shop. It was truly a once in a lifetime experience and well worth the drive. It feels as though you have stepped back in time.
