After 2 previous unsuccessful tries to go skating (first time no helmets, second time no skates for dad), we made it. Not sure how I feel about skating when it’s almost pretty close to shorts weather.

Amazing state park – Kelly Park

Michelle has a real skill of finding amazing places to visit. Today we went to Kelly Park, about 45 minutes away. Kids were a little nervous when they read the sign, but we still spent a good 90 minutes swimming down the river and running back to the start and doing it again. Takes about 15 minutes to go down the stream if you don’t really swim.

When you’re traveling with kids, especially a large crew eating out is very expensive. But a great place to eat at a fantastic price – Steak N Shake. We all ate our own meals (each under $4) and 4 kid meals free for $23 taxes in. Man oh man…
