We have been on the road for almost two weeks and hadn’t made it to the beach yet. In our family, that is like a crime, so when the schoolwork was done, we set off to see the beaches of the stars. We drove by Adam Sandler’s house and although the beach is public we opted for a nearby surfer beach in Malibu. The locals were very friendly and shocked by our massive van. They were even more shocked by the number of kids who kept coming out. I am sure to them it seemed like an endless stream. They let us know where it was safe to play and not safe to play. The down at the beach was exactly what each of us needed with the exception of the Big Frisbee Accident of 2015 caught below. Sam’s poor nose will never be the same.
After the beach we watched the sunset on the Santa Monica Pier- the end of route 66.
