Knowing that low tide was at 10:30am, we decided to head back to Cabrillo National Monument and see if we could find some more marine life. We found several crabs snails, sea slugs etc. We were educated by the park ranger who was down searching for sea stars. He said there was a disease killing them on this coast and we would be lucky to find one between Alaska and Maui. In fact, if we found one, we were suppose to scream. The girls never found one, but it dind’t seem to stop them from screaming. Usually at one another. In fact, there is a great photo of Hailey screaming and winding up to hit her sister.
Good thing we arrived at the park early. When we got back to the car there was about to be another fight that broke out over our space. There was a line up of about 12 cars and the first car in line had been waiting 40 minutes. Of course, there was one who arrived one minute ago, passed the entire line and came to take the space. We did not wait around to see how the dispute ended. We headed to Mission Beach to surprise the girls with the sailboat we had rented.
