The final stop of the day was to the Summer Palace, about a 30 minute drive away. It was very busy here and were left to roam for 1hr. We had the option to take the metro (subway) home and stay as long as we wanted, but I wasn’t comfortable trying to navigate that, so we walked around in the time we had. You could have spent the whole day there, especially since we never even got close to the actual buildings you see in the distance. There must have been 50 various size boats zipping around the lake. The bigger boats took visitors to various points in the park.

We finished the day around 5PM and again were the last ones dropped off. We didn’t feel like walking around so Kaatje and Kaelyn went downstairs and had the front desk help order Pizza Hut. We got a pepperoni pizza and wings.
