So this morning started off on a good note, when we woke to Nasi, a classical Dutch meal involving rice and different vegetables that Mom and I both love and have had at home many times before.  It was good, but it wasn’t as good as Grandpa’s.  There is just something about grandpa’s Nasi and his guacamole.  I can’t wait to get back and have some!

When we were done we chatted with dad and the girls (oh how we miss them) and then relaxed in our room until noon. We had a quick lunch and then headed out for the Botanical Gardens for a second time, in dryer conditions.

A bit smarter this time, we were able to find the entrance much quicker and it was a good thing too because it was unbelievably hot.

As I said before, the Botanical Gardens are bursting with unexpected beauty, from a variety of different flowers, to the fish, eels and swans that make this place their home.

It was in fact so beautiful that I made a video of it, please forgive how jerky and shaky the video is, not my best.

When I was done video taping this I went down and sat beside mom who was reading in the same cabana we had taken shelter under during the storm last time.

I had started feeling slightly sick and I had a bad headache. It was so hot that sweat was running down both of our faces like waterfalls. I had a terrible headache that I had not had a few moments ago and I suddenly felt very sick.  At the sight of me, mom insisted I sit down, drink some water and then suggested we head home.  As we climbed into the air conditioned bus and sat down I realized I might have been experiencing the beginning of heatstroke.

When we got back we grabbed some food (BBQ chicken from a Korean stall in the food court… it was delicious)

We also picked up  some watermelon we came back and changed into our bathing suits and once again, like the countless times before, just relaxed by the pool, swimming and reading before coming back up for dinner.

I have another casting tomorrow for a runway show, and if I’m selected I stay there and do rehearsals that very day. All before doors open for the show at 9:30 pm on the same day! It’s going to be a late night!

Mom is still battling a cold but we stayed up long enough to say hello to the girls once more… less then seven weeks to go!
