Sam’s Birthday Wish- to pet a unicorn or to play with a mermaid. Seriously! At first glance, this seemed impossible. But you know what they say…anything is possible in Vegas. It is true.
In Vegas, the Silverton Hotel has a beautiful Aquarium and several times a day, mermaids swim down and interact with the children. After all of our Marine exploration, the kids were just fascinated by the aquarium alone but when that mermaid swam down and began playing with Sam, I thought she was going to faint. She was so excited.
Even Maria was mesmerized by the beauty of the fish. She cried every time you tried to move her stroller so other kids could see. Eventually she refused to be restrained and needed to be up close. When the mermaid came down Maria was repeatedly kissing the aquarium glass wall trying to kiss her.
Daddy enjoyed this experience because it was attached to, what felt like, the world’s largest Bass Pro Shops. He had no issue killing 45 minutes waiting for the mermaids 🙂
