Farewell to Peggy’s Cove and Nova Scotia

This has been an amazing trip.  It has inspired a love of history and geography in the girls and it has left us all with several wonderful family memories.  Tonight we went back to Peggy’s Cove and said good bye to Nova Scotia.  We wrapped up the evening with a wonderful fish and chip dinner, topped off with our first taste of Newfoundland fries.

Mark and I were strolling on the beach while the kids played in the sand.  As Kaatje puts it…we were stealing a moment alone.  As she watched us, she walking hand in hand, she was inspired to write the following note to us in the sand.  As we returned to where the children were playing, we stumbled across this heart and couldn’t help but smile.
